NEW HAVEN, Conn. – No. 15 Brown women's hockey (6-3-0, 4-3-0) fell to Yale (4-3-1, 3-3-1), 4-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Cameron Sikich had the lone tally for the Bears as the senior scored her fourth goal of the season.
Brown was outshot 40-20 and allowed three goals in the second period as Yale took control of the game.
"We need to crack down on the controllable, small details of the game," said head coach Melanie Ruzzi. "We were winning on that detail early on and we have most recently lost because of the failure to execute them."
After a scoreless first period, the Bulldogs put the first goal of the game on the board at 7:31 of the second period. Four minutes later, the Bulldogs scored their second and third goals of the game a minute apart to lead 3-0 after two.
Yale's fourth goal came at 4:05 in the third period.
Sikich's goal came after the senior stole the puck at the blue line and wristed one past the glove of Yale's goaltender to get the Bears on the board.
Rory Edwards finished the game with 36 saves on the afternoon.
