
Women's Swimming & Diving Earns Wins Over Penn and Bryant

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's swimming and diving beat Penn and Bryant on Friday evening. Brown beat Penn 167-45 and cruised past Bryant 250-50, earning nine wins during the meet.
Brown's first win of the night came as the Bears swept the podium in the 200 freestyle. Kelly Dolce won the event (1:51.01), followed by Crystal Yuen (1:51.16) and Anna Podurgiel (1:52.79).
Jenna Reznicek (53.63) and Lily Welsh (55.75) took the top two spots in the 100 backstroke. Gillian Tu (1:03.75) and Kaitlyn Holmes (1:05.05) also took the top two spots in the 100 breaststroke.
Zehra Bilgin earned the win in the 200 butterfly (1:59.57).
It was another sweep for the Bears in the 200 backstroke with Livia Venditti winning the event (1:59.45). She was followed by Nadia Thomas (2:01.54) and Brooke Manning (2:02.26).
Yuen tied for the win in the 500 freestyle, touching the wall in 4:56.62.
In the 200 IM, Podurgiel earned the win (2:04.90) and Emilia Barck was second (2:05.35).
Isabella George (268.05) won the 1-meter event and Elena Yeh (267.00) was second in the event.
The team of Dolce, Lily Klinginsmith, Yuen and Bilgin won the 400 freestyle relay (3:24.11) to close out the night.

Brown will host the Bruno Invitational next week from Thursday (Nov. 21) to Sunday (Nov. 24).
