Women's Rugby to Host Harvard for Pride Game
10/2/2024 2:27:00 PM | Women's Rugby
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears (3-0-1) women's rugby team will host the Harvard Crimson (2-0-1) on Saturday, October 5 at Berylson Family Fields.
This game is the annual Pride Game with the goal of creating an inclusive environment for all members of our community. The team, along with Brown Athletics, recognize the importance of all individuals being able to live authentically and express that proudly. Brown Women's Rugby supports all those who champion diversity, inclusivity, and equitable representation.
Both teams enter the contest undefeated on the season. The Bears are seeking revenge as Harvard won last year's matchup 48-14.
Nikki Lynch is the leading scorer for the Bears with six tries on the season. Akilah Cathey isn't far behind with four of her own and Elizabeth Mahoney dominated last week's win against Princeton with three tries.
Expect a competitive match between these Ivy League teams—the game will begin at 4 p.m.
