The Brown Bears (3-1-1) were defeated by the Harvard Crimson (3-0-1) at home by a score of 18-12.

Harvard was dominant early, scoring two tries in the first 15 minutes of the game. A penalty kick would extend their lead to 13-0, and Brown would be forced to play from behind.

The Bears fought back, scoring before halftime on an impressive run by Akilah Cathey and a successful conversion by Julia Murray.

The Crimson came out hot during the second half scoring just seven minutes in. The Bears answered quickly as Aziza Alford earned a try.

Brown pressed late as the back-and-forth game continued. Harvard stood tall and prevented the Bears from being able to score again.

Harvard won the low-scoring battle, 18-12.

"The team put in an incredible 80-minute effort and just missed some opportunities to convert them into point," said Rosalind Chou, the Kathleen Flores Women's Rugby Head Coach. "Nikki Lynch had an incredible game both on attack and defense. We know we have a few areas to tighten up and hope to continue every single match."
