Four Men’s Tennis Doubles Pairings Advance at ITA New England Regionals

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Four doubles pairings from the Brown men's tennis team advanced to the round of 32 at day two of the ITA New England Regionals on Friday.
The doubles pairing of Alex Koong and Toby Luo defeated Jean-Christophe Baril and Marcus Macaulay of Bryant, (8-4). Sam Feldman and James Lian defeated Kostas Kollias and Alex Aguiar of Fairfield, (8-5) while Alex Finkelstein and Zander Bravo defeated William Morais Binnie and Filipe Costa of Binghamton, (8-4). Wrapping up the doubles victories for Brown was Noah Hernandez and Lucas Phimvongsa, who defeated Hikaru Takeda and Yujiro Onuma of Dartmouth, (8-2).
The doubles pairings of Brian Chong and George Bader were the lone pairing to not advance into the round of 32.
Alex Finkelstein was the lone Bear to advance in the round of 62 of the main singles draw, the senior earned a three-set victory over Benaud Lefevre of Yale, (4-6, 6-2, 7-5).
The doubles pairings that advanced will compete at day three of the ITA New England Regionals which will take place tomorrow, Oct.19. Finkelstein will also continue in the singles main draw tomorrow in the round of 32 against Peter Benjamin Privara from Harvard.
