Ahuja Takes Silver at U20 Pan-Am Championships

Mayaguez, Puerto Rico – Brown rising sophomore Nimrit Ahuja took home second place overall in the 5,000 meters on Saturday evening at the 2023 U20 Pan-American Track and Field Championships.
Ahuja crossed the finish line second out of the event's four runners in 17:19.65, just under 10 seconds behind the winner, Canada's Chloe Turner, and just ahead of Peru's Veronica Huacasi. Fellow American and U.S. champion, Elizabeth Pickett of the University of Texas, finished in fourth place (17:35.04).
Ahuja qualified to represent Team USA back on July 7 when she took home the silver at the U20 U.S. Track and Field Championships, when she set a new personal record at 16:59.12.
