PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown men's basketball team is set to depart on a foreign tour of France. The trip will run from Friday, Aug. 18 through Monday, Aug. 28.
The Bears will spend their time sightseeing in numerous major cities and playing three games against foreign opponents.
"We are incredibly grateful for this opportunity for our team," head coach Mike Martin '04 said. "We hope to maximize the time we spend on the court as we prepare for our upcoming season while also embracing all that the great country of France has to offer culturally. I'm really happy for our student athletes that they'll be able to experience this time together. Thank you to our generous supporters who have made it possible! Go Bears!"
Brown's games will take place on Aug. 22 against the Paris Select Team, on Aug. 24 against Elan Chalon U21, and on Aug. 27 against AS Monaco U21.
Throughout their trip, the Bears will spend time in Paris, Lyon, and Nice along with other locations. They will have the opportunity to see and experience the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Bateaux Mouches Pier, Paris Saint Germain Football Stadium, and food tasting at Cite Internationale de la Gastronomie et du Vin.
A daily recap including photos and videos from the trip will be posted to BrownBears.com. Make sure to also follow along on the Bears' Instagram.
