Amie Barrow to Represent The Gambia at World Aquatics Championships Olympic Qualifier

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's swimmer Amie Barrow will compete for The Gambia at the 2023 World Aquatics Championships Olympic Qualifier in July.
The championships will be held in Fukuoka, Japan from July 14-30. Barrow, born to Gambian and Finnish parents will represent the African nation in the championships in her international debut.
Barrow had a breakout first season on College Hill marked by significant time drops in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke events. In total, Barrow competed in eight meets for the Bears and participated in the 100 and 200 breaststroke and 200 IM at the Ivy League Championships. At the Championships, Barrow earned a 16th-place finish in the 100 breaststroke and record the second-fastest 200 breaststroke on the team for the 2022-23 season.
