
Cross Country Announces 2023 Season Schedules

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown cross country programs have announced their schedules for the upcoming 2023 season. Each program is scheduled to compete in seven meets leading up to the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships in late October, and will host the team's season-opening meet on Labor Day Weekend.
The season will commence on Friday, September 1 when Brown will host the Rothenberg Cross Country Invitational at Highland Park in Attleboro, Mass. The Bears will compete locally once again the following weekend with the Friar XC Invitational at Highland Park on September 8, followed by the Nassaney Invitational at Bryant on September 9.
The Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown on September 29 will be Brown's first of three meets at Franklin Park this season. On September 30, the Bears will compete at the Paul Short Run, one of the largest annual cross country meets in the nation, featuring thousands of runners and over a dozen separate races.
Following the New England Championships and ECAC/IC4AChampionships, Ivy League Heps will be be held at Franklin Park on October 28.
NCAA Northeast Regionals will be hosted by Columbia at Van Cortland Park on Friday, November 10. Qualified athletes will compete at the NCAA National Championships on Saturday, November 18 in Charlottesville, Va.
