
Equestrian Earns Two Wins at RWU/Salve Regina Show

phSEEKONK, Mass. – Brown equestrian had a strong show, finishing fourth at the Roger Williams and Salve Regina show over the weekend. The Bears had two individual winners in the show.
In the Open Fences, Sophia Ekstrand took fifth and Charlotte Bain finished sixth. Ekstrand and Bain also competed in the Open Flat with Bain finishing fifth.
Amber Keown-Lang had a solid showing in the Intermediate events with a second-place finish in the Flat and a fourth-place finish in the Fences. Sophie Butcher was fifth in the Flat and also competed in the Fences event.
Sydney Fritz won the Limit Flat and took fourth in the Limit Fences. Daphne Maniatis pointed out into the Intermediate Flat and secured her place in regionals in the Limit Flat with a second-place finish.
In the Novice event, Jonna Batten took first place in her final show of her senior season.
In the Pre-Novice, Jessica Jacyno finished second and Grace Skavdahl took third in what is her final show of her senior season.
Kira Clarke took third in the last show of her senior season in the Introductory and Xinwei Li took fifth in the event.
UP NEXT
Brown will compete in the Zone 1 Region 1 Finals on Saturday, March 25. The show will take place in Ashaway, R.i.
