PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown men's swimming and diving team completed competition at the Ivy League Championship this Saturday, Feb. 25.
The Bears finished in fifth place with an overall score of 887. Harvard took first followed by Princeton, Yale, Columbia, Brown, Penn, Cornell, and Dartmouth.
"This was an incredibly competitive and intense meet," head coach Kevin Norman said. "I'm so proud of how hard we fought against some very talented teams. It felt like every session we were getting breakout performances from people to keep us in the hunt for third with Yale, Columbia and Penn. It was fun to watch. Our three senior captains, Vincent Huang, Tyler Lu and Lukas Scheidl, did an amazing job leading the team and keeping them focused and confident throughout the meet."
Two more program records were set on the fourth and final day of competition, this time by Aidan Wilson in the 1650 free (15:00.32) and Jack Kelly in the 200 breast prelims (1:52.70). Wilson took third in the 1650 and Kelly placed second in the 200 breast after posting a 1:53.18 in the finals.
Marcus Lee finished seventh in the 100 free with 44.19 and Rowland Lawver took sixth in the three-meter dive with a 333.45.
