- Brown comes into the final weekend of the regular season having all but clinched a spot in the Ivy League Tournament that will take place at Yale on Nov. 17-18. The Bears will need to win one of their final two games to clinch a spot in the tournament. Right now, Brown is tied for third in the standings so the two games this weekend could have seeding implications as well.
- The Bears went 1-1 last weekend falling to Harvard in straight sets before bouncing back with a three-set win over Dartmouth. The loss to Harvard was the first time Brown had lost to an Ivy League school not named Yale or Princeton since 2019.
- Brown controlled the entire match against the Big Green, winning 25-14, 25-22 and 25-14. The Bears hit .277 and held Dartmouth to just .065 hitting. Brown finished the match with 63 digs, the fourth-highest total of the season and the highest total of the season in a three-set match. The 63 digs are the most in a three-set match for Brown since collecting 66 at Penn on Oct. 15, 2016.
- Jessie Golden has been the biggest factor in Brown's back row defense as the sophomore is currently first in the Ivy League and sixth in the NCAA in digs per set (5.57). Golden has now finished with double-figure digs in every match this season and has pushed her streak to 27-straight matches dating back to last season.
- Beau Vanderlaan continues to hit at a strong clip as the junior is second in the Ivy League and 18th in the NCAA with a .408 hitting percentage. Vanderlaan bounced back from poor outings against Harvard and Princeton to hit .308 with just one error against the Big Green.
- Brown's offense continues to run through Cierra Jenkins. Jenkins, who will be playing her last two matches inside the Pizzitola Sports Center this weekend, leads Brown and is third in the Ivy with 9.80 assists per set. Jenkins has had at least 25 assists in 18-straight matched and during the stretch has hit 40 assists five times and 50 assists once. Jenkins is hitting .443 on the season but does not have enough attacks to qualify for rankings.
- Brown won the meetings earlier this year against Cornell and Columbia. Against Cornell, Brown went to five sets but managed to pull out a victory. In an extremely even match, Brown took sets one and three before earning a 15-13 win in set five. Kayla Griebl led Brown's offense with 15 kills and Kate Sheire was second with 14.
- The Bears cruised past Columbia in the first meeting this season with Brown winning in straight sets as every set finished 25-14. Brown hit .300 points better than the Lions, hitting .359 to .059. No Bear finished with double-figure kills but Vanderlaan had nine kills and hit .471 on the night.
- Brown has won 12 games in three sets this year. It is the most three-set wins for Brown in a season since winning 12 in 1999.
