CHARLESTON, S.C.- The coed sailing team of Liam O'Keefe, Charlotte Costikyan, Guthrie Braun, and Camren Spriggs represented Brown at the 2023 ICSA Match Race National Championship this past weekend at the College of Charleston, winning the event.
The ICSA Match Race National Championship began on Friday, November 3, and concluded on Sunday, November 8. After a full round robin was completed on the first day of the regatta, Brown trailed first-place Yale by one point. The quarter and semifinals were completed by the end of day two, which slated a final matchup of Brown and Coast Guard. On the last day, Brown reigned victorious with a 3-0 finish over Coast Guard to win the championship.
The Bears have previously competed in the ICSA Match Race National Championship in 2022 and 2010 finishing in third both times. This marks the Bears' first Match Race National Championship.
