Women's Swimming & Diving Wins Bruno Invitational; Sets Another School Record

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's swimming and diving won the Bruno Invitational, taking down five other teams. Brown also set another program record on the diving boards on Sunday.
The Bears finished the meet with 1,394.5 points, well ahead of second place Georgetown with 831.5 points. Colgate came in third (526) followed by New Hampshire (426), Binghamton (419) and Rider (168).
Isabella George set the Brown program record on the 3-meter springboard with a winning score of 329.30. Elena Yeh was second in the event with 298.50 points.
Brown started the day taking second and third in the 1650 freestyle with Sara Barrett coming in second (16:53.57) and Sumner Chmielewski taking third (16:57.33).
Jenna Reznicek won the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:58.42.
The Bears swept the podium in the 100 freestyle with Morgan Lukinac winning the event (49.09), followed by Lily Klinginsmith (49.56) and Kelly Dolce (49.97).
Amie Barrow took second in the 200 breaststroke, finishing in a time of 2:14.85. Barrow was followed by Catherine Yu in third, who touched the wall in 2:15.88.
In the 200 butterfly, Zehra Bilgin picked up the win with a time of 1:58.63. Lizzy Washburn was third in the event with a time of 2:02.24.
The night closed with the 400 freestyle relay being won by the team of Klinginsmith, Anna Podurgiel, Dolce and Lukinac in a time of 3:19.54.

The Bears will be back in action on Saturday, Dec. 2 when Brown hosts Yale and Boston College at 12 p.m.
