Women's Swimming & Diving Sets Two Program Records of Day Two of Bruno Invite

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's swimming and diving saw two program records and a pool record fall on Day 2 of the Bruno Invite on Saturday night (Nov. 18).
The first record fell in the prelims as Gillian Tu set the record in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:00.91. Tu then won the event later in the night with a time of 1:01.21. Amie Barrow finished second for the Bears (1:02.66).
Sumner Chmielewski set the program record in the 400 IM with a time of 4:15.64, finishing second in the event.
Jenna Reznicek broke Brown's pool record in the 100 backstroke with a time of 52.68, winning the event. Reznicek now owns three Ivy League pool records.
The Bears started the night with a win in the 200 medley relay by the team of Reznicek, Tu, Lily Klinginsmith and Sam Scott (1:39.68).
Zehra Bilgin earned another win in the 100 butterfly with a time of 53.87. Klinginsmith finished third in the event (54.28).
Brown took the top-two spots in the 200 freestyle with Morgan Lukinac winning the event (1:47.40) and Kelly Dolce taking second (1:48.45).
In the first women's diving event of the meet, Brown swept the podium with Elena Yeh winning (297.85), Bowie Krawczyk taking second (279.50) and Isabella George finishing third (276.25).
The Bears closed the night with a win in the 800 freestyle relay by the team of Bilgin, Dolce, Anna Podurgiel and Lukinac.
UP NEXT
The Bears will close out the 2023 Bruno Invitational on Sunday with prelims beginning at 10 a.m. and the finals starting at 5 p.m.
