Young and McManus Earn Academic All-Ivy Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – A pair of Brown cross country student-athletes have been recognized for their work both on the course and in the classroom. Senior Geordie Young and junior Isolde McManus have both been named to the Academic All-Ivy Team, putting them among the 16 men and women who were recognized by the league in their announcement of major postseason award winners.
Concentrating in computer science – economics and political science, Young finished second on the team this past weekend at Ivy League Heps and also finished third on the Bears at the Paul Short Run in September.
McManus concentrates in economics, was a CSC Academic All-District selection in 2022 and has placed in the team's top four in all four of her meets this season. She was fourth on the team at Heps and led the Bears' pack with her fifth place overall finish (out of 141) at the Nassaney Invitational on September 9.
Brown will next compete at the NCAA Northeast Regional at Van Cortland Park on Friday, November 10.
