
Men's soccer opens Ivy play at Columbia

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown men's soccer team will open Ivy League play this Saturday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. on the road against Columbia.
The Bears have won two games in a row, while the Lions on the other hand are winless in their previous three.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

Scouting the Bears (4-2-0)
- Kyle Gee had a big week last week for the Bears as he scored the game-winning goal against Central Connecticut and assisted on the game-winner against Siena. He was named Brown Bear of the Week for his efforts. Gee is now second on the team with four points on the seasons.
- Jamin Gogo Peters scored to tie the game against Siena and his three goals and seven points on the year are both team highs.
- Columbia has struggled of late, having been shutout in each of their previous three games. The Lions fell to LIU 1-0 and to Drexel 2-0, before playing to a scoreless draw with Iona. Their lone win of the year was a 1-0 triumph over St. John's on Sept. 12.
- Through seven games, Columbia has scored four goals. Three different players each have scored once, while the four was credited as an own goal.
- The Bears lead the all-time series at 36-18-6.
- Last year's matchup was a 1-0 Brown victory thanks to a Derek Waleffe '22 goal in the 39th minute.
