Women's lacrosse earns IWLCA Academic Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Eighteen members of the Brown women's lacrosse team have been named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the IWLCA Wednesday.

Bears named to the Honor Roll include Essie Atherton, Lydia Bongiorno, Sophia DeRosa, Maggie Fowler, Lily Hagerup, Casey Hearns, Claire Jeschke, Julia Kavan, Allison Lanzone, Emily Marciano, Michaella McCarthy, Alaina Parisella, Rebecca Rosen, Erin Schafer, Kelsey Shea, Katie Silver, Jordan Torres, and Erin Tucker.

To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.

In addition, the team as a whole has earned the Academic Honor Squad distinction. To be named an Academic Honor Squad, teams must have posted a team GPA of 3.2 or higher for the academic year.
