PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Five Bears picked up Pocock Racing Shells All-America honors following stellar spring campaigns that led Brown to a seventh-place finish at the NCAA Championship.
Dahlia Levine and Hannah Yazdani were named First Team All-America with Maya Barnard and Olivia Vavasour picking up Second Team All-America honors. Zoe HasBrouck rounded out the selections with Honorable Mention All-America accolades.
All five Bears named All-Americans raced in the Varsity 8 boat for the entire season, helping Bruno's top boat finish first at the Eastern Sprints, second at the Ivy League Championships, and sixth at the NCAA Championship.
Levine picks up First Team honors as a sophomore after spending the entire spring season in the Varsity 8 boat. Levine primarily rowed from the seven-seat.
Yazdani caps her Brown career with All-America laurels for the second straight season. The McLean, Virginia native primarily rowed from the six-seat in the Varsity 8 crew during the spring season.
Yazdani is the first Bear to garner All-America honors in consecutive seasons since Cicely Madden '18 and Jennifer Mundelius '18 both earned All-America honors in 2017 and 2018.
Barnard coxed the V8 crew for the entire spring slate and is the first Bruno coxswain to earn All-America honors since Molly Sandza '15 garnered Second Team accolades in 2015.
Vavasour primarily rowed from the three-seat during the spring season and rounds out her senior season with All-Ivy, CRCA Scholar-Athlete, and Pocock All-America honors.
HasBrouck, a native of Saratoga Springs, New York, rounds out Brown's All-Americans with Honorable Mention honors. HasBrouck rowed in the five-seat for the majority of the season after spending her sophomore and junior campaigns with the top eight boat.
Brown was one of six programs to have multiple First Team All-Americans, joining Texas (5), Stanford (4), Princeton (3), Cal (2), and Washington (2).
Brown was the lone program with multiple First Team and Second Team selections. In total, Brown's five selections matched Texas and Stanford for second-most in the nation, trailing only Princeton's six All-Americans.
The five All-Americans all earned All-Ivy honors following the 2022 Ivy League Championship and furthermore, all five Bears were named CRCA Scholar-Athletes last month.
