2021-22: CRCA Scholar-Athlete … Second Team All-Ivy … Coxed the Varsity 8 crew for the entire season … Helped the top boat finish sixth at the NCAA Championship … Coxed the V8 to second at the Ivy League Championship for All-Ivy laurels … Coxed the V8 to first at the Eastern Sprints … Helped the top boat to wins over Cornell and Dartmouth (Apr. 23), Radcliffe (Apr. 3), and Ohio State (Mar. 26).
2020-21: Earned CRCA Scholar-Athlete honors … Served as the coxswain for the second varsity eight in all six races … Helped the second varsity eight place seventh at the NCAA Championships (May 28-30) … Aided the Bears to finish eighth as a team at NCAAs … Helped the second varsity eight post a 14-4 record on the year.
2019-20: Earned CRCA Scholar-Athlete honors … Coxed the C varsity eight at the Princeton Chase (Oct. 27), placing 11th out of 47 entries … Spring season canceled due to novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
2018-19: Coxed the B varsity four for the majority of the season … Placed third with the B varsity four at the Ivy League Championship … Helped Brown place second as a team at the Ivy League Championship … Aided the B varsity four to an 8-4 record on the year.

Personal: Maya is the daughter of Sonoko and David Barnard … Has two older siblings, William and Lauren; Lauren is a member of the Princeton women’s crew Class of 2019 … Economics concentrator.
