PRINCETON, N.J. – As part of its long-term partnership with ESPN, the Ivy League has announced its six-game football package set to air on ESPN linear networks this upcoming season, one of which will feature the Brown Bears.
The schedule for one of the premier linear football packages in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) will feature Brown traveling to reigning Ivy co-champion Princeton on Friday, October 14 at 7 p.m. on ESPNU.
The full schedule includes:
Friday, Sept. 30 – Penn at Dartmouth – 7 p.m. ET (ESPNU)
Friday, Oct. 7 – Harvard at Cornell – 7 p.m. ET (ESPNU)
Friday, Oct. 14 – Brown at Princeton – 7 p.m. ET (ESPNU)
Friday, Oct. 21 – Princeton at Harvard – 7 p.m. ET (ESPNU)
Friday, Oct. 28 – Yale at Columbia – 6:30 p.m. ET (ESPNU)
Saturday, Nov. 19 – Yale at Harvard – Time and Network TBD
All other Ivy League home football games outside of this six-game package will air on ESPN+, while select games will also be available through a variety of regional sports networks.
This is the 14th consecutive year that the league will feature a national football television package. For the fourth-straight year, each program will make at least one appearance in the schedule. The slate consists of five consecutive Friday night games on ESPNU before the 138th playing of The Game takes place on Saturday, Nov. 19.
The schedule is one of several parts to the league's comprehensive agreement with ESPN that was launched in 2018. The partnership airs over 1,400 events annually on ESPN+ and includes at least 24 events on ESPN linear networks.
Last season, five teams were either ranked or received votes in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 national poll at one point of the season.
An Ivy League football player hoisted the Lombardi Trophy for the fourth consecutive season, with Brown's Michael Hoecht and Los Angeles Rams topping Cincinnati in Super Bowl LVI. Ivy League football has now produced 14 Super Bowl champions since 2008.
The Bears will open up the 2022 season against Bryant on Saturday, September 17 at 12:30 p.m. at Richard Gouse Field at Brown Stadium.
