PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's basketball head coach Monique LeBlanc has announced that assistant coach Ugo Nwaigwe has been named the program's recruiting coordinator.
In her new role, Nwaigwe will lead the recruiting efforts of the Brown women's basketball staff.
"I'm excited for Ugo to transition into this role on our staff. Ugo is committed to our goal of identifying the highest level student-athletes who can make an immediate impact in our program," said LeBlanc. "Additionally, she has the work ethic and stamina that is needed to be great in this role. Recruiting is a critical component to every program, and Ugo will be instrumental as we look to make a significant imprint on the future of Brown Women's Basketball."
Nwaigwe has been on the Brown women's basketball staff since February of 2021, having just completed her first year with the program. Prior to Brown, Nwaigwe served as the Director of Women's Basketball Operations for Iowa from 2019-21. Nwaigwe played college basketball at Wagner and Temple and played professionally for three years in Europe, Africa and South America before transitioning to coaching.
