
Track and Field Boasts Two Winners on Day One of UConn Northeast Challenge

STORRS, Conn. – Brown track and field opened the UConn Northeast Challenge with two individual wins as Altan Mitchell and Jada Joseph sat atop the triple jump leaderboards on Friday. The men are currently fourth with 23 points and the women rank fifth with 17 points at the George J. Sherman Family Sports Complex.

Mitchell and Sidarth Roman finished 1-and-2 in the triple jump at 15.03m and 14.44m, respectively, and Joseph won the women's triple jump with a mark of 12.35m. Joseph's mark is the 10th best in program history.

Geordie Young placed fourth in the steeplechase and Jonathan Pelusi finished third in two decathlon events – the 100m dash and the 400m dash.
