Sailing claims preseason honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown sailing teams recently claimed a plethora of preseason honors as they approach the beginning of the 2022 season.
The Brown women's team claimed the No. 1 spot in the ICSA Team Race Preseason national rankings, while the coed team appeared at No. 6. More info can be found here.
In addition, five Bears were named to the NEISA's watch lists for top awards. Jack Murphy and Connor Nelson were named to the watch list for Coed Sailor of the Year, Olivia Belda for Women's Sailor of the Year, Madeleine McGrath for Babineau Crew of the Year, and Emma Montgomery for Women's Crew of the Year. The coed team begins it 2022 season on March 5 at the McMerrick Team Race and the Sharpe Trophy Team Race, while the women's team begins competition on the same day at the Rhody the Riveter's Women's Regatta and the Women's Team Race Regatta.
