Bears Host Union and RPI to Finish First Half

SCOUTING BROWN (4-7-1, 2-4-0 ECAC)
- The Bears enter the final weekend before winter break in 10th in the ECAC standings with six points.
- Brown led through the first two periods last Saturday against No. 10 Cornell. Freshman forward Jade Iginla tallied two goals, while junior goalie Kaley Doyle finished with 36 saves, but the Big Red scored three times in the third period to hand the Bears a 4-2 loss.
- Iginla upped her goal total to seven on the season to go along with three assists for a team-leading 10 points on the year.
- Sophomore Anna Shelden netted her first goal of the season on Friday against No. 6 Colgate, while sophomore Anna Gallagher scored as well.
- Sophomores Anna Hurd, Abby Hancock and Shelden all pick up their first assists of the season over the weekend.
- Junior goalie Kaley Doyle finished with 36 saves against both Colgate and Cornell. Doyle ranks 32nd in the nation with a .915 save percentage.
- The Bears check in at 24th in the country on the penalty kill at .818.
- Brown is second among Ivy League teams with 140 blocked shots.
- The Dutchwomen are one spot ahead of the Bears, sitting in ninth in the standings with 8.5 points.
- Union most recently upset No. 15 Princeton, 4-1, on Saturday. Sophomore goalie Sophie Matsoukas came away with a career-high 56 saves to secure the win.
- Matsoukas is 16th in the country with a .924 save percentage.
- Freshman Riley Walsh (9-4-13) and senior Emily King (7-6-13) lead the team with 13 points each.
- The Engineers meet No. 4 Yale on Friday before playing Brown.
- The Engineers are currently the last-place team in the ECAC standings and are in search of their first conference win.
- Junior Ellie Kaiser leads the team with five goals and seven assists for 12 points.
- Freshman Nina Christof (2-5-7) and senior Marah Wagner (2-5-7) are players to watch out for along with senior Hannah Price who is second on the team with four goals.
- Senior goalie Amanda Rampado is 33rd in the country with a .915 save percentage.
