PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown men's tennis Head Coach Alex Kasarov has announced the 2023 schedule. The Bears face 12 different opponents over nine home dates, are on the road for 10 matches and are at four neutral sites including the ECAC Championship on Feb. 17-19.
Â
"This spring, we are bolstering a very competitive nonconference schedule with nationally ranked opponents from the Big Ten and the Big 12 in addition to an already competitive Ivy League schedule," said Kasarov. "We are thrilled with our team and athletes' progress this fall, and we look forward to the competitive opportunities during the spring season."
Â
The season begins with a home match on Jan. 19 against Quinnipiac before the Bears travel to the Great Lake State to take on a pair of Big Ten foes in Michigan State (Jan. 21) and Michigan (Jan. 22). The first month concludes with matches versus Fordham and Siena (Jan. 28).
Â
A busy February kicks off with a trio of matches in West Point, N.Y. against Binghamton and Army (Feb. 4) and Richmond (Feb. 5). Brown then returns to New England for a road match at Boston College (Feb. 10) and two at home versus Boston University and Fairfield (Feb. 12) before heading to Dartmouth College for the ECAC Championship (Feb. 17-19). The month wraps up in Waco, Texas against Abilene Christian (Feb. 24) and at Baylor (Feb. 25).
Â
Brown is on its home court for most of March. The Bears host St. Francis Brooklyn and Hofstra (March 4), Bryant (March 8), and St. John's (March 26). The final long road trip of the regular season is to Boca Raton, Fla. Where the Bears will take on Florida Atlantic (March 31). Ivy League competition gets going in April as Brown hosts Dartmouth (April 7) for the final stretch of the regular season.
