PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Senior Brittany Raphino of the Brown women's soccer team has been named a 2022 Women's MAC Hermann Trophy Semifinalist, as announced by United Soccer Coaches Wednesday. Raphino is one of 15 semifinalists based on voting by NCAA Division I women's soccer coaches.
The MAC Hermann Trophy is the most coveted individual honor in NCAA Division I soccer and has been awarded annually since 1967. Most recently, Jaelin Howell (Florida
State) and Dante Polvara (Georgetown) received the award for outstanding intercollegiate performances last year.
Raphino is a two-time Ivy Offensive Player of the Year and a three-time First Team All-Ivy selection. This season, she earned both of those honors while leading the team to their third straight Ivy League title and to the second round of the NCAA Tournament after defeating Rutgers in the first round. Her 24 points from 10 goals and four assists led the Bears.
Three women's finalists will be named for the award on Wednesday, Dec. 7. The 2022 MAC Hermann Trophy banquet will be held at the historic Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis on Jan. 6, 2023 to formally announce this year's winners.
