
Sailing Posts Four Top Five Finishes to Conclude Fall Conference Slate

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown sailing teams concluded the fall conference schedule with four top five finishes, highlighted by a win at the Connecticut College Invite Trophy this weekend.
Co-ed sailing posted first and third-place finishes overall at the Connecticut College Invite Trophy. Jed Bell and Lily Shore (Division A), and Mason Stang and Catherine Morrissette (Division B) won the Connecticut College-hosted event that featured 11 teams. In fourth were Charlotte Costikyan and Francesca Edmands (Division A) and Emily Mueller and Janelle Li (Division B).
The Bears finished second out of 18 teams at the New England Co-ed Fall Championship for the Erwin Schell Trophy at Coast Guard. Connor Nelson and Izzy Cox sailed in Division A, while Liam O'Keefe and Nora Ong were in Division B.
At the Brown hosted New England Women's Fall Championship for the VIctoria Urn Trophy, the Bears placed fourth out of 15. Blaire McCarthy and Savannah Young sailed in Division A, while Caroline Bayless and Menasha Leport were in Division B.

The College Sailing Open and Women's Singlehanded Championships in Norfolk, Va. await the squad this weekend. Five Bears are scheduled to participate. The College Sailing Match Racing National Championship in San Diego, Calif. follow on November 10-13.
