Field Hockey Set to Host Cornell Friday; 13th-Ranked Wake Forest on NESN Sunday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears (8-5, 1-3 Ivy League) play their final two-game weekend of the season as they host the Cornell Big Red (7-6, 2-2 Ivy League) on Friday (Oct. 21) and the 13th-ranked Wake Forest Deacons (11-4, 3-1 ACC) on Sunday (Oct. 23).
Friday's Ivy League conference game is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. and will stream on ESPN+. Sunday's non-conference finale is set to begin at noon and will broadcast on NESN, the first Brown field hockey game to air on television.
The first 100 fans in attendance on Sunday will receive a Brown Athletics drawstring bag.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
- Brown enters the weekend with an 8-5 overall record and 1-3 Ivy League conference mark. The Bears look to snap a three-game losing streak against the Big Red on Friday and get back into the conference win column.
- Lexi Pellegrino leads the Bears in goals (10) and points (24) and is tied with reigning Ivy League Player of the Year Beth Yeager for the conference lead in goals. Pellegrino ranks second to Yeager in points.
- Lucy Adams ranks second on the team with five goals and 15 points.
- Lindsey Ross and Mikayla Walsh are tied for the team-lead with nine assists apiece and rank second in the Ivy League. The Brown duo are tied for 12th in the NCAA with 0.69 assists per game.
- Between the pipes, Jodie Brine has started all 13 games for the Bears and holds a 1.67 goals against average and .686 save percentage.
- Cornell enters the weekend with a 7-6 overall record and 2-2 Ivy League conference mark. The Big Red hold Ivy wins over Columbia and Dartmouth, both 3-1 victories, with losses to Penn and eighth-ranked Princeton.
- Most recently, Cornell snapped a three-game skid with a 2-1 home win over Lock Haven.
- Caroline Ramsey leads the Big Red in goals (7) and points (14). She is one of three on the Cornell roster with double-digit points alongside Claire Jones (2-6-10) and Grace Leahy (4-2-10).
- Between the pipes, Aerin Park has started all 13 games in 2022 and holds a 1.67 goals against average and .726 save percentage.
- Friday's game marks the 43rd meeting between the Bears and Big Red in a series dating back to 1979.
- Cornell holds a 23-17-2 all-time record in the series. Brown beat Cornell in 2018 before the Big Red won the most recent meetings in 2019 and 2021.
- Wake Forest enters the weekend with an 11-4 overall record and 3-1 ACC mark. All four Wake Forest losses have come against ranked opponents, including second-ranked North Carolina, third-ranked Michigan, and fifth-ranked Iowa. The Demon Deacons hold wins over sixth-ranked Virginia, seventh-ranked Louisville, 22nd-ranked Duke, and 23rd-ranked Ohio State.
- Meike Lanckohr leads the team in goals (8), assists (9), and points (25) and is one of five Demon Deacons with double-digit points this season.
- Ellie Todd has played the majority of the minutes in goal for Wake Forest this season. She holds a 1.36 goals against average and .759 save percentage.
- Sunday marks the first-ever meeting between the Bears and Deacons.
