Mauricio named Ivy League Rookie of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Brown women's basketball freshman guard Isabella Mauricio was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week after a career performance against Cornell last weekend, the league announced on Monday (Jan. 31).
Mauricio led the Bears with a career-high 24 points and hit a career-best six threes in the game against the Big Red. Mauricio has now reached the 20-point mark in three of her six games in the Ivy League and in four games overall this season.
The freshman from Pleasanton, Calif., is seventh in the league at 13.7 points per game and second in the league with 2.7 made threes per game. Mauricio is second in the league with 16.5 points per game through the first half of Ivy League play.
