Women's basketball announces 2021-22 schedule

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown head women's basketball coach Monique LeBlanc has announced the Bears' upcoming 2021-22 schedule. The schedule features 13 home games in the Pizzitola Sports Center.
Brown's schedule features a heavy road schedule to begin the season with six of the first eight games away from Providence. The Bears open up the season at Fairfield on Tuesday, Oct. 9. The home opener for the Bears will be on Thursday, Nov. 18 against Central Connecticut State.
Brown will play five other home games outside of Ivy League play taking on Wagner (Nov. 20), New Hampshire (Dec. 1), Providence (Dec. 8), Fisher College (Dec. 11) and Johnson & Wales (Dec. 22).

The remaining non-league schedule will feature games at Sacred Heart (Nov. 13) and Bryant (Nov. 16), Hartford (Nov. 23) and Holy Cross (Dec. 5). The Bears will also play two games at Vermont for a Thanksgiving tournament on Saturday (Nov. 27) and Sunday (Nov. 28).
The Bears will begin Ivy League play on Sunday, Jan. 2 with a home contest against Penn. Brown will play four-straight home games to begin Ivy League play before its first road game against Yale on Monday, Jan. 17.
The Bears have a heavy road stretch late in league play with six of seven games on the road from Saturday, Jan. 29 to Saturday, Feb. 26. The lone home contest during that stretch will be against Cornell on Saturday, Feb. 12.
The season will wrap up against Yale on Saturday, March 5 with a tip time scheduled for 2 p.m.
Tickets for women's basketball will go on sale at a later date.
