Baseball Set for 18 Student-Athletes to Compete in Summer Leagues

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown University baseball is set to have 18 student-athletes compete in collegiate summer baseball leagues across the United States in 2021 following a summer of 2020 in which many collegiate baseball leagues were not able to compete.

The Bears will have three players represented in both the New England Collegiate Baseball League as well as the West Coast League. Brown will have two student-athletes apiece competing in the Florida Collegiate Summer League, Hamptons Collegiate Summer League, and Tidewater Summer League.

Brown will have one player each competing in six other leagues – the Appalachian League, Coastal Plain League, Expedition League, Smoky Mountain Collegiate League, Sunbelt Baseball League, and Texas Collegiate League.

The class breakdown for the Bears playing this summer includes three recent 2021 graduates, two rising seniors, six rising juniors, six rising sophomores, and one incoming freshman.
