
Women’s Crew’s Aronin Selected to Represent U.S. at U23 World Championships

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown University women's crew sophomore Izzy Aronin has earned a spot as the coxswain of the women's eight to represent the United States at the U23 World Championships in Racice, Czech Republic from July 7-11, USRowing announced on Wednesday.
The regatta is the premier event for rowers under the age of 23 and offers a total of 22 events. Alongside the seven camp-selected boats announced Wednesday, the other 15 U.S. boats were selected last week at the 2021 USRowing U23 National Team Trials.

At Brown, Aronin (Larchmont, N.Y.) raced with the Bears in the fall of 2019 but did not compete in the spring of 2020 or the 2020-21 academic year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to Brown, she won gold in the varsity four at the Head of the Charles in both 2017 and 2018. A product of Mamaroneck High School and RowAmerica Rye on the club level, Aronin came in second in the varsity four at the USRowing Youth National Championships in 2018 and 2019.
