
Swimming & Diving Programs Achieve Scholar All-America Team Accolades, Rank in the Top-10 Nationally

RICHMOND, Va. – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) recognized both the Brown men's and women's swimming & diving programs as Scholar All-America Teams in an announcement made by the organization on Tuesday. Both programs received the recognition for their 2021 spring grade point average (GPA) and ranked within the top-10 nationally.
"Coaches Norman and Kovenock did an exceptional job despite the absence of an Ivy League season," noted CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart. "These are some of the best ambassadors of Brown and Athletic Director Calhoun, President Paxson, and Dr. Ken Miller and Karen Haberstroh (Faculty Athletic Representatives) can and should be proud of these 56 men and women."
The men's program recorded the fourth highest GPA in the nation while the women had the seventh highest. In total, 721 programs from 426 institutions earned the honor. Selections were made on the basis of their spring grade point averages and represent 17,982 student-athletes. CSCAA will name its individual Scholar All-America team next week.

The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
