
Track & Field Adds Chappell-Dick to Staff as Assistant Coach

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Tim Springfield, the Alden-Rothenberg Men's & Women's Cross Country/Track & Field Coaching Chair, has announced the hiring of Hannah Chappell-Dick as an assistant coach for distance.
"I am very excited to bring coach Chappell-Dick on board," said Springfield. "She brings with her strong levels of experience from Florida and Georgia Tech, and she really impressed our staff with her passion and attention to detail. I also am very impressed with her ability to connect with student-athletes in a positive way, and I know that she'll advance our program."

Chappell-Dick was most recently a graduate assistant cross country and track & field coach at the University of Florida. She spent two seasons with the Gators (2019-21) where she assisted in coaching four NCAA All-Americans while also supervising practices and training in addition to receiving her MBA.

Before Florida, Chappell-Dick was a volunteer assistant coach at Georgia Tech from 2018-19. There, Chappell-Dick helped the women's program earn its first NCAA Championship appearance since 2001, while on the men's side, she assisted coaching an NCAA All-American and USA Semifinalist.Â

Chappell-Dick was a five-time NCAA DIII All-American and three-time Regional Athlete of the Year for Eastern Mennonite University, where she holds school records in the 4×100, 4×400, DMR, 400, 800 and the 1500, and has the ODAC record in the mile. She was additionally a six-time ODAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year and two-time EMU Athlete fo the Year. Chappell-Dick was honored as one of the Top-30 NCAA Women of the Year Honorees and was also a team captain and chair on SAAC. In 2017, Chappell-Dick served as the interim head men's and women's cross country coach at EMU. She graduated in 2016 with a degree in biology while earning Cords of Distinction (top-10 in class).
