Woodson Named to US Lacrosse’s All-Black Men’s Lacrosse Team

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown men's lacrosse's Chazz Woodson '05 was named to the US Lacrosse All-Black Lacrosse Team on Thursday in an announcement by the organization. Woodson was selected as an Honorable Mention.
In part of US Lacrosse's partnership with Blaxers Blog, and in celebration of Black History Month, the organization released men's and women's All-Black Lacrosse Teams, celebrating over 50 Black men and women who have accomplished great feats on the field at the college and professional levels. The teams are comprised of current and former student-athletes.
Woodson is a member of the Brown men's lacrosse's All-Decade Team (2000-2009). In his time on College Hill, Woodson earned two Second Team All-Ivy selections (2004, 2005), All-New England honors and back-to-back team offensive MVP accolades. He was drafted as the 19th overall pick in the 2005 Major League Lacrosse Draft by the Long Island Lizards. Woodson is currently the head coach of Hampton University's men's lacrosse program.
