Brown 2020 Fall Academic All-Ivy Selections Announced

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown University had seven student-athletes garner Fall Academic All-Ivy accolades in an announcement made by the Ivy League on Wednesday.
Institutions nominated one student-athlete from each of the seven Ivy League sponsored fall sports – football, field hockey, men's soccer, women's soccer, women's volleyball, men's cross country and women's cross country – to be included on the Academic All-Ivy teams. Student-athletes must be in good academic standing to be eligible for the award.

- Second Team All-Ivy selection at left tackle in 2019 ... Played in every game for the past two seasons.
Cameron Brown | Women's Soccer | Senior | Portsmouth, Va. | Health and Huma Biology
- Team captain ... Started all 19 games at center back (2019) ... Did not leave the field in 18 of 19 games played in 2019 ... Honorable Mention All-Ivy in 2018.
Anna Kaneb | Field Hockey | Senior | Manchester, Mass. | Cognitive Neuroscience
- NFHCA National Academic Squad selection in 2017 ... Played in every game as a freshman and junior.
David Scherrer | Men's Cross Country | Senior | Virginia Beach, Va. | International Relations
- Finished 23rd overall at the 2019 Ivy League Championship ... Placed 37th at the NCAA Northeast Regional (2018).
Samantha Valentine | Women's Cross Country | Senior | Middleton, Wis. | Development Studies and Geology-Biology
- Second Team All-Ivy in 2019, finishing 10th at the Ivy League Championship ... Won the Rothenberg Run (5K) (2019) ... Placed 36th at NCAA Northeast Regional in 2018.
Derek Waleffe | Men's Soccer | Junior | Madison, Wis. | Physics
- Honorable Mention All-Ivy in 2018 and 2019 ... Finished second on the team in scoring with six points in 2019 … Tied for the team lead with three goals, all in Ivy League play (2019).
Kaitlyn Wong | Volleyball | Sophomore | Los Altos, Calif. | Undeclared
- Honorable Mention All-Ivy (2019) ... Ranked fifth in the Ivy League in digs per set (3.84) in 2019 … Stood third in the conference in digs per set (4.19) in Ivy play in 2019.
