Amanda Latkany named Ivy League Rookie of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – After helping Brown beat Holy Cross on Sunday, women's basketball freshman Amanda Latkany was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week, the league announced on Monday (Dec. 6).
Latkany led Brown with a career-high 15 points in the win over the Crusaders. The Rye, N.Y., native finished the game with seven rebounds, two assists and one steal. Latkany finished a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line, including hitting the two game-winning free throws with two seconds left on the clock.
For the season, Latkany leads Brown and is sixth in the league with 7.2 rebounds per game.
The Bears will be back on the court on Wednesday at the Pizzitola Sports Center against Providence at 6 p.m.
