Men's basketball travels to UMass Lowell Wednesday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown men's basketball team will travel to UMass Lowell this Wednesday, Dec. 1 for a 7 p.m. matchup.
Both teams are coming off a victory in their most recent contests with Brown downing Quinnipiac 72-61, while Lowell took care of NAIA opponent Fisher 101-38.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

Scouting the Bears (5-4, 0-0 IVY):
- Kino Lilly Jr. scored a career-high 24 points in the Bears' win at Quinnipiac last Sunday. All of his points came in the second half and at one point, was responsible for 13 straight Brown points.
- Tamenang Choh has averaged 10.3 rebounds per game over the Bears' last three matchups, highlighted by a 21-rebound performance against Bryant. It was the most rebounds in a single game by a Bear since 1975.
- Over the last four games, Brown's defense has allowed opponents to score just 60.5 points per game. The Bears gave up just 54 to the PAC-12's Colorado, 30 points below what had been the Buffs' season average.
- At 5-2 on the season, UMass Lowell's two losses have come against Oklahoma State and Massachusetts. In those two losses, the River Hawks averaged 69.5 points per game, while giving up 86.
- Alternatively, in Lowell's five wins it has scored 79 points per game, while surrendering just 52.
- On the season, four River Hawks are averaging over 10 points per game, led by Allin Blunt's 10.7. Max Brooks leads the team with 4.8 rebounds per game and Justin Faison has a team high of 3.3 assists.
- Brown leads the all-time series against Lowell at 4-1. The Bears won the first four meetings in 2013, 15, 17 and 18, before dropping the most recent meeting in 2019.
- In that one, Choh and Friday both led Brown with 13 points, but a big second half by the River Hawks, in which they outscored the Bears 38-24, led to a 75-63 Lowell victory.
