Brown University Athletics Announces Coaching Changes to Field Hockey and Men's Soccer Programs

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown University Athletics has announced that the contracts of field hockey head coach Jill Reeve and Friends of Brown Men's Soccer Head Coaching Chair Patrick Laughlin will not be renewed. Both contracts are set to expire on December 31, 2021.
"We appreciate the commitment and dedication both Jill and Patrick brought to their respective programs," said M. Grace Calhoun, PhD., Vice President for Athletics and Recreation. "We wish both of them nothing but success in future endeavors."
Reeve served as head coach from the 2011 season through this season in 2021. Under Reeve's guidance, Brown had a 59-111 record and 11-59 Ivy League record.
Laughlin served as head coach from the 2010 season through this season in 2021.
Under Laughlin's guidance, Brown had a 93-71-31 record and 31-28-18 Ivy League record. The Bears captured the 2011 Ivy League Co-Championship and reached the NCAA Tournament in 2010, 2011, and 2012.
A national search for the field hockey head coach and the Friends of Brown Men's Soccer Head Coaching Chair positions will begin immediately.
