Cross Country Concludes Season at NCAA Northeast Regionals

BOSTON, Mass. – The Brown men's and women's cross country teams wrapped up their 2021 seasons on Friday afternoon at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships at Franklin Park in Boston. The women's team finished 18th out of 36 teams and were led by senior Katherine Dokholyan. Senior Jared Yabu led the men's squad for the second straight race.
The Brown women placed 18th as a team in the six-kilometer race that featured 36 schools and 250 finishers. Dokholyan led the way for Brown with a 49th place time of 21:48.6. It marked the fourth time in the last five races she has led the Bears' pack. She was followed by sophomores Isa Stronski (22:40.0) in 101st and Tevah Gevelber (22:43.4) in 105th. Senior Isabela Bartczak (22:48.5) placed 110th and freshman Isolde McManus finished 112th in 22:48.9 to round out the top five. Senior Mary Bibbey (115th/22:50.3) followed close behind and sophomore Katie Orchard (128th/22:57.3) completed the team's seven runners.
On the men's side, the Bears were paced by senior Jared Yabu, who crossed the finish line of the 10K race 50th in 31:45.4, followed by freshman Miles Mullins in 56th with a time of 31:55.8, and senior Ben McCoy in 106th in 32:52.9. With just three finishers, the men's team did not register a team score.
