PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Brown field hockey head coach Jill Reeve has announced the addition of Erin McCrudden to the program as an assistant coach. McCrudden comes to Brown after serving as Louisville's volunteer assistant coach in 2019 following a standout playing career with the Cardinals.
"We are thrilled to have Erin join our coaching staff," said Reeve. "Erin's exposure on the USA National Team coupled with her international playing experiences will inject a refreshing energy into our program. Her passion for the game is evident and contagious. Our athletes are excited to begin working with her."
McCrudden played for Louisville from 2013-16 where she earned All-America honors her senior season (2016) after posting a career-best senior campaign which included All-ACC second team honors. The two-time NFHCA All-West Region selection led the ACC and was second in the nation with 18 assists. She still stands second on Louisville's single-season list for assists.
The Yorktown Heights, N.Y. native was named to the U.S. Women's National Development Squad in 2016 and went on to earn a spot on the U.S. Women's National Team, competing in 13 international caps. She continued her stint with the USA Field Hockey Development team through 2019.
McCrudden was selected as a 2017 Weaver-James-Corrigan Award recipient in conjunction with the Atlantic Coast Conference.
She earned her bachelor's degree in health and human performance in 2017 from Louisville. The two-time ACC honor roll selection earned NFHCA National Academic Squad honors twice and was named to the Athletic Director's honor roll four times.
