#13 Women' Squash Upended By #1 Harvard and #9 Dartmouth

Brown women's squash, ranked 13th nationally, battled #1 Harvard and #9 Dartmouth, falling to the Crimson by an 8-1 margin, and the Big Green, 5-4. The Bears complete their regular season Tuesday evening at #19 Tufts.

Head coach Stuart leGassick was thrilled by his team's effort against Dartmouth. "Another super effort falling just short," said leGassick. "Senior Scarlett Bergam '20 won at #7 late in the match setting up a 4-4 tie and despite a great effort by Abby Dichter '22 the team just missed out on an exciting victory."

Freshman Esha Lakhoita rallied from a 2-1 deficit vs. Harvard to earn an 11-6, 7-11, 5-11, 11-9, 11-6 victory at number nine.

Junior Alexa Jacobs showed her mettle with a 3-1 victory against Dartmouth at number one. Freshman Danielle Benstock came through with a hard fought 3-2 victory at four, while Isabella Kearns came through at six with a 3-2 decision. Senior Scarlett Bergam earned a 3-2 victory at number seven.
