THE FIELD
Seven Ivy League programs field varsity women's fencing programs while six Ivies feature men's teams. On the men's side, the Bears will see five ranked programs – No. 1 Columbia, No. 2 Harvard, No. 6 Princeton, No. 8 Yale, and No. 9 Penn. On the women's side, Brown will meet five ranked clubs – No. 1 Princeton, No. 2 Columbia, No. 7 Harvard, No. 8 Penn, and No. 10 Cornell – in addition to Yale.

LAST TIME OUT
Brown women's fencing tallied a 4-1 record and the men's side added a 2-3 mark as the teams combined for a 6-4 record at the Eric Sollee Invitational on Saturday at Brandeis University's Gosman Sports Center. All three women's squads as well as men's foil went 4-1 at the event. Freshman Casey Chan (Cresskill, N.J.) led women's sabre with a 14-1 record while freshman Nick Andrade (Quincy, Mass.) paced men's foil with a 13-2 record.

NFC PART I
Brown combined for a 10-2 record on the day as the women's team went 6-1 and the men's side finished 4-1 at Northeast Fencing Conference Meet No. 1 on Saturday, Nov. 17 at Brown's Olney-Margolies Athletic Center. Women's foil (7-0) and men's epee (5-0) both went undefeated on the day. Freshman Anisha Kasi (New City, N.Y.) led the women's foil squad with an 18-0 record while freshman Nick Andrade (Quincy, Mass.) registered a 14-1 mark in men's foil.

NFC PART II
Brown combined for an undefeated 12-0 record with each team posting a 6-0 mark at Northeast Fencing Conference Meet No. 2 on Saturday, Jan. 25 at Boston College's Margot Connell Recreation Center. Women's foil and men's foil both posted undefeated 6-0 marks on the day. Freshman Ryan Scarpa (Manhasset, N.Y.) led the Bears with a 17-1 record in men's foil while junior Sofija Podvisocka (Dublin, Calif.) led the women's side with a 16-2 mark in women's epee.

SUMMER CHAMPIONSHIPS
Junior Sean Feeney (Riverside, R.I.) led a group of eight Brown fencers with a bronze medal performance at the 2019 USA Fencing National Championships at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio from June 28 to July 7.

WORLD CUP
Sophomore Timmy Frank (Portland, Ore.) advanced to the round of 16 at the Men's Epee Junior World Cup in Riga, Latvia from November 9-10, marking a new personal best finish for Frank on the World Cup circuit. Frank finished in 16th place out of a field of 247 fencers. His finish helped him jump up six places in the USA Fencing Junior Men's Epee Rolling Point Standings, moving from No. 10 to No. 4.
