Throughout the month of February, Brown Athletics will celebrate Black History Month through a series of profiles. Over the course of the month, the Bears will recognize African Americans who have made an impact on the university community and beyond.

Rikki Baldwin '07, Volleyball

One of nine student-athletes in program history to record 1,000 or more career kills, Rikki Baldwin '07 ranks tied for sixth in program history with 1,076 career kills. She posted at least 200 kills in all four of her seasons at Brown and tallied career highs in kills (307), kills per set (3.70), and digs (142) as a senior. A 2006 Second Team All-Ivy selection, she averaged 3.20 kills per set during her career alongside 423 career digs. After graduation, Baldwin went on to study osteopathic medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth before completing a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac, Mich. Since 2018, she has served as a gynecologist in the Gonzales Healthcare Systems in Texas.
