Women’s Golf Finishes Seventh At Old Friends Invitational

Tampa, FL - The Brown women's golf team opened its Spring season at the Old Friends Invitational played at the par 72, 6,286 yard Tampa Palms Golf and Country Club. The Bears placed seventh overall on scores of 322-313-334 -- 969
South Florida ran away with the team title by 20 shots with a 54-hole 886, followed by High Point (906), James Madison (917), Memphis (929), Richmond (943), Toledo (944) and Brown (969).
"The team has a great perspective on where their game is right now and the work that is needed to get us on track to compete next month," said head coach Jackie Beck. "We are excited to get back to work!"
Junior Winnie McCabe led the Bears with a 54-hole 239 on rounds of 78-78-83 to place 25thindividually. Sophomore Pinya Piparjarasgit also finished 25thon rounds of 77-76-86—239.
Bears' sophomore Roshannah Gaur posted scores of 82-77-82—241, while sophomore Hailey Freedman shot 86-81-85—252. Freshman Amanda Levy came in at 253 on rounds of 86-83-84—253.
The Bears are idle until March 29-30, traveling to LPGA National in Daytona, Florida for the Bab Steffens Invitational.
