
Brown Hosts Women's Swimming & Diving Ivy League Championships Wednesday-Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown University will host the 2020 Ivy League Women's Swimming & Diving Championships Wednesday, Feb. 19 through Saturday, Feb. 22 at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center. Prelims begin at 11:00 a.m. while finals will start at 6:00 p.m. (Thurs. - Sat.). The preliminaries and finals from Thursday - Saturday will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

TYING AN ALL-TIME GREAT
Junior Taylor Seaman (Brighton, Mich.) tied the program record in the 100 freestyle at the Big Al Open on Dec. 8 with a time of 48.84. The time tied Brown Hall of Famer Jennifer Boyd '90. Seaman currently holds the Brown record for the 100 backstroke and is a part of three record setting relays - 200 freestyle relay, 400 freestyle relay, 400 medley relay.
2019 AT IVIES
The Bears finished fourth with 937.5 points at the 2019 Ivy League Championships at Princeton's DeNuzio Pool, the program's highest finish since the 2005 season. Brown broke a total of five school records which included the 100 butterfly (Andrea Wei), 100 backstroke (Taylor Seaman), 200 backstroke (Sarah Welch), 200 butterfly (Wei) and the 400 medley relay (Seaman, Audrey Lukawski, Wei, Marley Cross). Harvard claimed its second-straight championship last year with 1,500 points while Yale (1390.5) and Princeton (1,177) rounded out the top three.
BROWN NAMED CSCAA SCHOLAR ALL-AMERICA TEAM
The Bears posted the third-highest GPA in Ivy League and were 19th out of 182 programs in earning CSCAA Scholar All-America Team honors in an announcement by the organization on Jan. 29. To be selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, programs must have achieved a grade point average of 3.00 or higher over the fall semester.
