Savannah, GA – The Brown men' golf team's first outing of the Spring semester came at the Invitational at Savannah Harbor with a 17^thplace finish, shooting 303-308-306—917 at the par 72, 6,918 yard Club at Savannah Harbor.

Valparaiso won the team championship by two shots (869) in a close matchup with Wright State (871), followed by Francis Marion (878), Delaware (879), Florida A&M (991), St. Joseph's PA (882), IUPUI (885), Columbia (885), Northern Kentucky (885), Western Carolina (886), Longwood (889), Fairleigh Dickinson (890), Navy (890), Bethune Cookman (895), Iona (901), Brown (917), Bradley (924) and Savannah State (933).

Freshman Luca Jezzeny paced the Brown team and finished 53^rdindividually with rounds of 78-74-73—225. Senior Kenneth Li shot 74-77-78—229 to place 69^thindividually.

The Bears' third finisher was senior Chuck Isgar, who scored 231 on rounds of 78-76-77, while freshman Ford Bennett was close behind after shooting 73-81-78—232. Senior Joe McNamara finished with scores of 89-85-94—268.

Coach Mike Hughes' team returns to tournament action at the Columbia Invitational, April 4 at the Montclair Country Club in Montclair, NJ.
