BROWN'S PHIL GOSS NAMED TO TEWAARATON AWARD WOMEN'S WATCH LIST
WASHINGTON, DC, February 13 – Brown senior All-American goalie Phil Goss(San Francisco, CA) has been named to the 2020 Tewaaraton Award Watch List as announced by the Tewaaraton Foundation. The lists include the top players across all three divisions of NCAA lacrosse and highlight the early contenders for the Tewaaraton Award. 2020 marks the 20th anniversary of the Award.
Goss, who has been named to the Tewaaraton Watch List for the second straight season, is a two-time USILA All-American (Honorable Mention) and Preseason Second Team All-American in 2020. He is also a two-time All-Ivy selection (First Team, Second Team). Goss has made 586 career saves, fifth best in the Brown record book and is just 86 saves short of the all-time Bears' record of 673 saves by USILA Goalie of the Year Jack Kelly '16.
Brown has one previous Tewaaraton Award recipient, attackman Dylan Molloy in 2016.
Four of the five Tewaaraton Finalists return from 2019 (Penn State's Grant Ament, Maryland's Jared Bernhardt, Yale's TD Ierlan and Princeton's Michael Sowers).

The Tewaaraton Award annually honors the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United States. The selection committees are made up of premier collegiate coaches and are appointed annually by The Tewaaraton Foundation.

Watch list additions, if applicable, will be announced on March 12 and April 2. On April 23, the field will be narrowed to 25 men's and 25 women's nominees. Nominees can be players from the watch lists or not from the watch lists, effectively allowing for a third round of additions.
Five men's and five women's finalists will be announced on May 7 and invited to the 20th annual Tewaaraton Award Ceremony in Washington, D.C., on May 28.
