Gymnastics’ Lazaro Earns ECAC Coaches Choice Weekly Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown University gymnastics freshman Lauren Lazaro has earned ECAC Coaches Choice weekly honors after scoring career highs on floor and beam last week, the Eastern College Athletic Conference announced on Wednesday.

A native of Wellesley, Mass., Lazaro came in second on floor with a career-high 9.850 and third on beam with a career-best 9.775 on Sunday in the Bears' second home meet of the year. On Saturday, she posted a 9.775 on floor and 9.700 on beam in a quad meet at New Hampshire.

Lazaro helped the Bears notch season highs on beam (48.775) and floor (48.200) in their home meet on Sunday.

Next, Brown competes at the Ivy Classic against Cornell, Penn, and Yale in Ithaca, N.Y., on Sunday, Feb. 23 at 11:00 a.m.
